I started off with birds in 1982 -  keeping pigeons. But soon there were many other interrests that pushed the birds aside.

In 1986 I got married and settled down in my own house in Vedavågen. And it didn't go many months before I decided to take up again the very fascinating hobby of breeding and keeping birds. I tried out many different varieties such as grassparrots, lovebirds, java sparrow and other different types of finches,

In 1989 we decided to move to the small town of Kopervik. And of course - still keeping birds - but then I decided to start with budgerigars. My first pair of exibition budgies I bought from my good friend and budgie breeder Leif Olsen in 1989.

After this I have travelled all over Norway and participated at many different bird shows. I have also showed birds in Sweden and Denmark.
